| What golf balls to use? 15 Jun 2006 4 years ago First you have to ask your self some questions!
What is your handicap?
Do you really feel much diffrence between the balls?
Do you loose allot balls?
Why do you choose those balls?
All balls are the same for starters and high handicappers they don't know the diffrence, except the price.
I have tried out allot balls from free and cheap balls to the Titleist Prov V1, Titleist Pro V1x, Titleist NXT, Titleist NXT tour, Callaway HX HOT, Callaway HX Tour, Maxfli Noodle, etc..
What's the diffrence? Eh losing $5 bucks ball will ruin your day if you worked for it! Losing a ball that's worth nothing a found ball I can live with it.
Playing a round with found balls, don't look at the brand just play you don't notice much diffrence and you will be hitting the ball harder because the ball is free and you not afraid of losing a ball.
2 Piece hard balls are very hard ussually and make more distance for starters like me.
3 Piece golf balls are ussually softer and less forgiving if you drive a draw it will draw more.
So if you cannot control the ball don't play the ball just with straight balls.
If you have a forgiving driver make sure you take a forgiving ball aswell.
Good luck with my theory.
