| Taylormade R7 Draw HUH? 25 Jul 2006 4 years ago Yes Taylormade R7 Draw Coming Soon Why?
To fill their pockets?
It's look more like the R5 draw I think why the hell bring out a R7 draw when you have a R7 460 with configuraton with draw or neutral trajectory already?
Here is what they say about this driver:
Advanced 460 cc titanium clubhead design provides super-high MOI for tremendous power and forgiveness
Draw-Weighted Technology concentrates weight in the back heel area, encouraging faster clubface rotation through impact to promote a draw
Inverted Cone Technology dramatically expands the portion of the clubface that delivers high COR for consistently longer drives, even on miss-hits
RE*AX 55-gram soft-tipped graphite shaft feels great and promotes a high launch angle and right-to-left flight
Women's r7 Draw also available
What kind of player is the r7 Draw driver targeted at?
The r7 Draw driver is created for players that need as much help as they can get to hit the ball straighter, higher and longer. It's for players that can gain extra distance by turning their chronic fades into a draw, and players who will set themselves up with shorter approach shots by turning a severe banana ball into a manageable fade.
What function does the channel in the sole serve on the driver and fairway wood?
The channel in the sole allows us to remove a significant amount of weight from the toe and redistribute it into the heel, creating Draw-Weighted Technology.
How does Draw-Weighted Technology in the r7 Draw metalwoods promote a draw?
ItÕs all about physics. The extra weight positioned in the heel moves the clubhead's CG closer to the shaft. Moving the CG closer to the shaft speeds the rotation of the clubhead during the forwardswing in the same way that a spinning figure skater speeds the rotation of her body by pulling her arms inward. That helps the player to square the clubface at impact to either impart draw-spin or reduce slice-spin.
What other performance technologies do these metalwoods employ?
The driver features TaylorMade's renowned Inverted Cone Technology, which increases the size of the COR zone to promote increased average ball speed for greater average distance.
How does the RE*AX 55 graphite shaft promote a draw in these clubs?
Because it weighs just 55 grams, the RE*AX 55 promotes increased clubhead speed and a fast, dynamic hand release, which promotes the kind of rapid clubface rotation that results in a draw. Additionally, the RE*AX 55 features an extremely soft tip, which also helps promote a square face at impact as well as a high, strong ball flight.
Why doesn't the driver feature Movable Weight Technology?
This club was conceived for players who need help either hitting a draw or straightening a strong fade or slice. Every possible performance feature is aligned to do that, including the weighting which was made permanent so that this would reamin the ultimate draw-producing driver.
How does the r7 Draw driver compare to the r7 460 in terms of MOI?
The r7 Draw, which is equal in size to the r7 460 with both measuring 460 cc, is also equal to the r7 460 in MOI. Both are remarkably stable and forgiving on off-center hits.

Looks like this driver is for 20+ handicapper or someone looking for forgiveness with a low swing speed I think.
Looks are even cooler!
Looks cool!
